5 Easy Outfits To Wear During The Heatwave

It’s getting real hot out here. This week Basil and I spent a few days in Virginia where the highs were 90-100 and lows 70-80. Needless to say, it was HOT. But staying cool and looking chic doesn’t have to be hard. I put together five different outfits for any type of summertime fun you’ve got going on this weekend, so that you can focus on topping up your tan and booking a reservation for that alfresco dinner place you like. Keep scrolling to find your favorite and remember to pair all your looks with a mask when heading out and stay safe!!

Starting with a classic: a white flowing summer dress is guaranteed to be your best friend when temperatures rise. To keep it feeling extra chic, I opted for all black accessories elsewhere with a simple gold necklace. I’m picturing this look taking you out to lunch sometime soon!

2. Floral dreamScreen Shot 2020-08-11 at 11.01.07 PM

A floral pastel dress is arguably the most perfect outfit to go for when the sun is shining. Pair yours with some complementing sandals and everyone’s favorite summer pairing: a straw hat and glasses. Then, finish with a mini bag in a neutral shade to tie the look together!

3. Bikini as a topScreen Shot 2020-08-11 at 10.58.32 PM

If you didn’t already know, we’re wearing swimwear out and about now. To ease yourself into the trend, wear your favorite bikini top with a pair of linen shorts and some chunky trainers. And for even more California vibes, add a bucket hat, a straw bag and you’re all set.

4. Plenty of pastelsScreen Shot 2020-08-11 at 10.58.41 PM

Summer lends itself as the perfect opportunity to experiment with some color. This season, I’m all about pastels especially when mixing them together. Don’t be afraid to incorporate multiple colors into your warm-weather looks to master that mismatch aesthetic I’m obsessed with right now.

5. Screams summer

Another way to incorporate swimwear into your day-to-day is underneath a casual maxi dress. With the weather in mind, I’ve gone for lightweight pieces so you can make a bright bikini the main event without looking too pool ready.
